"Your funds are on hold. To release them, pay the processing / insurance / anti-money-laundering / gas fee." No real escrow works like this. Fees in a real service are a percentage of the trade, shown before anyone commits, and they are taken from the trade itself, not requested as a separate payment to get your money. A demand to pay in order to receive is the scam, every time.
How fees actually work on iEscrow
- The platform fee is a percentage of the trade, quoted in full before either side commits, and deducted at release. Nobody asks you to send it anywhere.
- Withdrawing to an external wallet carries the network fee of that blockchain. It is shown before you confirm the withdrawal and taken from the amount you withdraw. It is never a separate payment and never a condition someone writes to you about.
- There is no "insurance", "tax clearance", "account upgrade" or "verification deposit" to receive funds. Those words do not exist in the product.
- Support never asks for money and never contacts you first. See Official channels.
The pattern, so you recognise it anywhere
- 1You are told your money is "there" (a balance on a site you did not choose, a screenshot, a message).
- 2A fee appears between you and that money. It is small relative to the balance.
- 3You pay. A second fee appears. The balance was never real.
Test any escrow with one question: "Is the fee deducted from the trade, or do I have to send it?" If you have to send it, there is no trade.
