Automatic payment verification

What happens when you connect your receiving account: what we read, what we store, and how to disconnect.

If you connect the account where you get paid, iEscrow can confirm on its own that the payment arrived, without you checking your bank or pressing anything. It is optional: without connecting it the trade works exactly the same, you just confirm it yourself.

What we do, exactly

  • We read incoming movements on that account to find your trade's payment.
  • We store only the movement that matches that trade (amount, date and the bank's identifier), as evidence.
  • The connection is read-only: we cannot move, withdraw or spend your money. Neither can anyone with access to the platform.

What we do NOT do

  • We never ask for or store your bank password: you authorise on your bank or provider's own site, never here.
  • We do not read your outgoing payments or your history beyond what the trade needs.
  • We do not share this with your counterparty: they see that the payment was verified, not your account.

How to stop it

You can disconnect the account whenever you want from your profile, and the permission stops applying. Open banking providers also expire the permission on their own every 90 days.

Why it is worth it: in a dispute, a movement verified by the bank is worth far more than a screenshot. See Disputes.
